Uniting the TV and the Fireplace

A common design battle…  One partner wants the fireplace to stand alone  or to feature artwork.  The other wants to mount the TV above it.  If you can compromise, and prefer a modern flair, check out the Scenario from MCZ.

MCZ Scenario TV/Fireplace combination

The Italy based company has introduced a fireplace — available in both wood-burning and gas-powered models — which incorporates a flat screen LCD TV and two (2) 60 W audio speakers.

Clad in tempered glass with a painted steel shelf and black steel framework, the Scenario also includes an integrated cabinet for your various components and a rail for your remotes.

For those who are instantly concerned about the heat of the fireplace damaging the TV, fear not; the TV is surrounded by high thermal insulation and will not melt or overheat in any way.

The one downside is that the unit does take up a fair amount of wall space.  So if your available wall space is at a premium, this may not work for you.  But it is pretty to look at for those who enjoy a modern flair!
